It is with great privilege we can advise that Veritas Advisory has been chosen to be on the panel of contractors of the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (“ORIC”).

ORIC is the independent statutory body that supports and regulates indigenous corporations under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait) Act in a similar fashion to ASIC but with a more holistic view on ensuring good corporate governance of these organisations.

The panel arrangement will allow Veritas Advisory to give direct assistance to ORIC and the Indigenous Corporations through forensic audits, examinations, special administrations and insolvency assessments in order to help these corporations cope, recover and grow.

A number of key staff have worked closely with ORIC on matters in the past and will bring their experience to the forefront as we take on engagements to come.

Veritas Advisory’s Principal, Vincent Pirina says of this opportunity, “Having previously worked on similar matters I am extremely excited about this opportunity.  I know that our staff are going to benefit from the interactions and the positive contribution we can give to the Indigenous communities throughout Australia.”

Veritas Advisory’s Technical and Compliance Manager, Kevin Cotter adds, “Being of an Indigenous background, it fills me with pride that Veritas Advisory has embarked on this opportunity to give back to the Indigenous communities by bringing our professionalism and holistic approach to them.  I know from first hand experience that our staff will grow and develop skills and experiences with the upcoming engagements.  These engagements can be challenging, there is no doubt, but the rewards to the communities involved and the personal growth our staff will achieve are well worth the effort.”
